Happy Spring Equinox - The First Day School’s Corner of the World: March 2022

Happy Spring Equinox

This month’s RE article will be short. Very short. The April article will be a tad longer.

All is well in RE and our First Day School students are looking forward to taking their masks off – if so choosing to do so – and have snacks inside.  Spring Equinox is later in the month and something to look forward to.

The heart-breaking situation in Ukraine is on my mind and many are asking how to best support and talk to children and teens about the reality of the situation. Today, February 28th, the Godly Play Foundation has a special event and story on YouTube . Quakers all over the world, and in partnership with others, are taking a stand, read this or visit here and https://www.fcnl.org  Those who have first-hand experiences, or loved ones who have experienced what the people of Ukraine are going though, know the deep trauma and suffering, the loss, fear, pain and anger will impact our lives. Many children are concerned about the war, and if it will escalate. Spiritual community and religious education programs such as our First Day School can be instrumental in providing support for children and families. Please let us know if and how we can best support your child and family.
